Great family friendly water park with lagoon pools

Camping Park Albatros This wonderfully situated campsite is nestled within a pine forest and is only metres from the Etruscan coastline. The main pool is encircled with sun loungers where you can relax while watching the children enjoy themselves in the pool.

The bar/restaurant here is open to the needs of its clientele - opening for breakfast, lunch and evening meals and serving an array of Italian specialities to treat its diners.

This campsite is perfect for discovering many delights such as the nearby vineyards and coastline or indulging in a variety of excursions to cities such as Florence, Pisa, Siena, Rome and the Islands of the Tuscan Archipelago. Visit Aqua Village at Follonica, a waterpark with a host of activities that will keep the whole family amused, the thermal spa at Calidario is a five minute drive from the site. Spend the day relaxing in the naturally hot sulphur water and indulge in one of the treatments on offer, including mud baths and saunas.

The campsite itself is very good. Very good pool areas, enhanced by the new pool area this year. Very family-friendly campsite.

Tips for surrounding area

We went on a few day trips while we were staying there and enjoyed the history and culture of Tuscany.

It's a fabulous well maintained campsite with great restaurants serving authentic Italian food. Well stocked supermarket, numerous pools with a lovely soft rubber base. Lots of entertainment, great ice cream. Our children love it.

Great beaches, clear sea, nice hill top towns.

Recommendation

I would definitely recommend it.My only criticism is that it needs a little more upkeep. We had a fabulous time there. We were near to all the amenities and there was something to do for everyone,of all ages.It felt safe and secure and we would definitely visit again.

Tips for surrounding area

We hired bikes and went to the beach a lot.We also went into the nearest villages.

Recommendation

A superb site with great facilities and very well maintained. With the exception of the mobile home we were initially given the location and distribution of mobiles encourages a village feel.

Tips for surrounding area

Not a lot to see in the surrounding area. Beaches are good. Good off site supermarkets that are much cheaper than the on site one.

Nice place, kids loved it. Most of the necessities inside the area. Short distance to several nice beaches, and cozy villages and towns.
